Greetings!
It’s another rainy day, (Surprise! Surprise!) and it sure feels like summer is coming to an end. Makes me think it’s time to start the fall/before winter chores. So today I’m making jam from the remaining berries in the freezer from last year’s harvest. Tomorrow, more moving of the woodpile thanks to the desire of the neighborhood rabbits to set up housekeeping there. Not gonna happen!! And so, the list slowly begins to dwindle.
Fall brings good things like more time for quilting and our Guild meeting on October 3. We’ll find out about who’ll be attending the retreat, the new guild challenge, classes for next year and have a great lunch with friends. I hope you’re planning to attend!
I really like the retreat committee’s mystery quilt offering this summer. What a great new idea! Can’t wait to see the results.
If any of you are heading to Fairbanks any time soon, there is a quilt exhibit at the UA Museum of the North. Ree Nancarrow’s show is called “Observations: Two Decades of Change.” It will be up until January 10, 2027. The online description sounds incredible.
