My goodness, here we are near the end of another year, where does the time go? While everyone is busy with holiday events, remember to take a few minutes here and there to sit down at your machine to just unwind and relax.
We had our annual October Retreat at the Seward Resort and we were happy to have a Cathy and Lily from the "other" side of the Peninsula join us. It is always so good to have our extended quilting friends join our little retreats. While I am not sure how much sewing was accomplished, we certainly had a lot of laughs, good food, great conversations and visiting.
Our community projects continue to keep us busy making tops, quilting and presenting. While our list of local Veterans is getting smaller, we have decided to also honor our local active-duty service members so, our project will continue for the foreseeable future. Our project to honor our Seniors is in full swing, having provided 17 lap quilts in the last 3 months.
Our winter sewing season is keeping us all busy and sewing together. With great community support, we have been provided two beautiful areas to sew. We get together every Tuesday and every other Sunday.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with many happy hours of sewing. Hope to see many of you at the February Retreat in Homer. Happy Quilting Everyone!
