As summer quickly draws to a close here in Seward, the tourists are heading home and the gardens are being shut down for the winter; many of us are looking forward to getting back together with our sewing/quilting friends.
While we weren’t able to sew together this summer, we did continue to work on our community projects. We were able to present 19 veteran quilts to our active-duty service personnel of the US Coast Guard Cutter Mustang and 9 beautiful senior quilts to a few more of our seniors. Many of us also continue to work on baby quilts for the Clare House. Our weekly sewing get-togethers will be starting soon and our first weekend retreat of the season is scheduled for the first of November.
Hope to see many of you at our October 5th Membership Meeting.
Happy Quilting Everyone!
