Kachemak Bay Quilters’ News
Summer 2024
Busy, very busy, or extremely busy would describe our quilters this summer. We have somehow fit quilting and quilters' gatherings around gardening, fishing, family visits and traveling to far flung places into our schedules, and we're still breathing. Our group has grown as usual during the summer, with an average of fifteen to seventeen members gathering to stitch and chat on Thursdays.
We have finished service quilts for fire victims, as well as blocks made by individuals for a Pratt Museum raffle quilt. We also enjoyed having the guild's challenge blocks displayed at Grace Brewery in Homer in June.
This spring and summer we welcomed several new members, and we have enjoyed getting to know them and hear their stories.
We are looking forward to our fall guild meeting.
