You know, there’s something special about women getting together!
We saw it and experienced it at the retreat with the sharing and laughing and welcoming newbies. I saw it earlier this month when the Homer quilters had a three day sew-in. Again, sharing, laughing, supporting, offering advice, and welcoming newcomers to the group. The shared food wasn’t bad either!!! We see it weekly in our quilting groups too.
We have more opportunities to support other women coming this summer. There is the Quilt Walk in the Soldotna area in June, the Kenai River Quilt Show in July and a KPQG class too. Fun times!
We cancelled two class offerings for this summer due to not having enough participants. That led to questions and discussions in the education committee and executive board meeting as to why. Please share with committee members what you think. Is it the class offerings, the schedule of classes, expenses of class or accommodations? Please give us your feedback. We are in a quandary.
Have a wonderful summer!
