Almost “summer” weather has been in Seward these last few days. It has been wonderful to get out and enjoy some sunshine for a change, sure hope it continues!
We are on our summer break from sewing together. We will back with our Sew Tuesday schedule the first of October. We did manage to meet our January 1st goal, to provide 42 lap quilts to the residents at Seward Mountain Heaven Care facility by the end of April. We continue to provide quilts to our “Senior/Community” Quilt program, having delivered 31 during our winter sewing season this year, for a total 129 delivered. Our Veteran Quilt program continues, with new veterans being added. In January we also re-opened our Baby Welcome Wagon quilt program, providing the “Bloom” program manager with 19 baby quilts the end of April.
We continue to stay busy sewing and enjoying our love of fabric and quilts. We wish you all a fabulous summer and hope to see many of you at our great classes along the way.
Happy Quilting Everyone!
