The collections featured in PANEL MASH UP by Gudrun erla of GE Designs and Doug Leka of Antler Quilt Design feature projects designed for their simplicity and creativity.
Their favorite songs as an inspiration fro patterns that range from the traditional to the modern. Pages 5 through 40 feature patterns by Gudrum Erla and 41 through 80 are patterns designed by Doug Leko.
The Patterns include pre-printed holiday panels. Check out pages 7 & 23 if you have Halloween panels, and pages 34-43 for patterns that highlight the Christmas season. Page 15 has a bonus: patterns for both placements and candle mats using panels.
The fabric requirements, cutting instructions, assembly and layout options are easy to follow. Included with the patterns for the pre-printed panels are recommendations for tools, piecing and pressing instructions, borders and sashing, finishing the quilt top, and binding tips and directions for machine binding video (gequiltdesigns.com)
Gudrum and Doug’s musical collaboration has each quilt named after one of their favorite songs. You will probably recognize a few of these quilts song titles: Sweet Dreams, Proud Mary, Laya, Sugar Sugar, Brown Eyed Girl, Penny Lane, Eleanor Rigby, Tutti Frutti, and more.
