As the outgoing president of KPQG, I am inspired and humbled by all the guild related events that have occurred in the last four years. I have witnessed the numerous times our members have stepped up to insure success of the many opportunities we have provided for our membership. Examples extend from individuals who have shown up early to help set up for workshops to establishing a website to keep our members and other interested people informed of KPQG events and opportunities. Thank you.
Thank you to all the officers and chairpersons who each do their jobs so efficiently. The education committee especially continues to seek out challenging/enjoyable teachers to satisfy needs for traditional quilters to experimental quilters. They have also done an excellent job of incorporating our own members to provide instruction at membership meetings and "Getting Ready for Christmas" programs.
Thanks to all of you who have shared your talent with us.
Thank you to the secretary, treasurer, and membership chair who maintain the organizational details so that we are continually aware of the growth and financial health of KPQG. To the newsletter chair and all the contributors, I appreciate the part you play in keeping us all informed and educated.
A special thanks to all the members who have made the last four retreats such enjoyable and productive events. The historical overviews presented at this spring retreat provided such a heartfelt view of our guild in our 20 years as an organization.
I appreciate each and every one who has extended yourself to help make KPQG such a viable organization. I would encourage each of you to consider taking a turn at a leadership or committee position. It is such an opportunity to learn and grow as a person.
