We are busy gardening, fishing, hiking, picking berries, making jam, traveling, hosting friends and family, enjoying the sun ... in other words, making the most of the waning days of summer.
As a group we have started working on our next Pratt Museum quilt. This one is a little different from ones we have made in the past. Charlene Ditton found some green Dresden Plate and pink Dresden Plate squares that had been made by Jean Adair, a long-time quilter and Homer resident. We are adding appliqué Alaskan flower squares and an interesting, pieced border to make what should be a very lovely quilt.
In addition to that group project, we are also working on a raffle quilt. Can’t wait until you can see it and buy your lucky ticket!!
See you all in October for the guild meeting!
